The Driving Method of AGV

The driving modes of AGV mainly include single drive, dual drive, differential drive and multi-wheel drive.
Single drive is used for three-wheeled vehicles. It can move forward, backward and turn left and right. Due to the good grip of the three-wheel structure, the ground surface requirements are general, and it is suitable for a wide range of environments and occasions.
Dual drive is used for four-wheel vehicles. It can move forward, backward and in all directions. The outstanding feature is that it can control any change of the body posture during driving, and is suitable for narrow passages or environments and occasions with special requirements for the working direction.
Differential drive usually has three-wheel and four-wheel models. It can move forward, backward, turn left and right, and spin on the spot. The turning adaptability is stronger than that of single drive. In the case of a three-wheeled vehicle, the applicability to the ground surface is similar to that of a single drive. If it is a four-wheeled vehicle, it is easy to cause one of the wheels to hang in the air and affect the navigation, so the flatness of the ground surface is demanding and the scope of application is limited.
Multi-wheel drive is used in eight-wheel vehicles. It can drive forward, backward and in all directions. It is used in heavy-duty industry transportation.
